lyrics
bob dylan, kurt cobain, got together, went insane
had a kid on the skids, no one knew his real name
call him jack, call him sue, johnny cash is turnin' blue
singin' 'bout a government that never really had a clue
what are we gonna do, what are we gonna do?
he said, she said, no one ever tells the truth
talkin' to the policeman, even he don't understand
why we gotta run away and bury our heads in the sand
and i can't take it no more
let me breathe
ronnie james dio built a cottage down in rio
with the devil on his level and a place in montecito
when a black witch with a switch ridin' on a broomstick
gave a pitch like a bitch, told 'em it was all a trick
what are gonna do, dio cried to beezleboo
jack flash struck a match and now we're in a heap of doo
satan started faintin' and his wife was ovulatin'
so they called the lord and said, my god, you gotta help us make it through
and i can't take it no more
let me breathe
coke-nose rimbaud found himself a fire hose
made himself a lasso, wrangled edgar allen poe
hemingway, russia say, you ain't gonna get away
david foster wallace was a lawless alcoholic
and i don't really wanna know where your garden really grows
all i wanna know is how you look when you ain't got no clothes
bored of almost everything, nothin's ever gettin' in
the world's become a turing test and i don't think i'm gonna win
The Absurd began as a folk rock collaboration between Ben & Josh. Ben's singer-songwriter artistic whims are expressed thusly herein.

To me this is like 70ies Heavy Metal in nearly all aspects. I can understand the comparisons to Motörhead but to me they don’t really sound like them, except maybe for the Heavy Blue style lead breaks. What they do have is the drive, gravelly vocals and swagger of Motörhead. This they have that in buckets. Super fun Heavy Metal/Hard Rock that just doesn’t age. Harry Harrison
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
